Distance Learning
Whether you're a distance learner for the whole year or just for a few weeks, good news: you can participate music class wherever you are! Each week, I will send you two lessons/assignments through Seesaw (for K-2) or Google Classroom (3rd-6th.) Most of the time, you will complete these lessons on a website called Quaver, where you will follow along with recorded videos of me teaching you new songs, activities, and games. It turns out we can have a LOT of fun even if we aren't able to be together in person.

There are three very important things for you to know about distance learning for music/art. Please read these carefully and show them to your parents so that they will know how to help you.
1. Each week you will have TWO assignments to complete for music/art class. The first assignment will be posted on Monday morning and due by Tuesday night. The second assignment will be posted on Wednesday morning and due by Thursday night. Each assignment should take no more than 25 minutes (the amount of time we are usually in class together.) As much as possible, the lessons will align with what in-person students are learning in class.
2. It is VERY important that you check Seesaw (for K-2) or the Music/Art Google Classroom (3rd-6th) often. All of your assignments will be posted on these pages, along with information on how to access Quaver, details on my expectations for your work, etc. I may also message you individually on Seesaw/Google Classroom if I need to tell you something.
3. I am here to help you! I expect you to do all of your assignments and do them on time, but I do NOT expect you to struggle! If you are having trouble with something, your assignments are taking you too long, or you are overwhelmed, please let me know. You can message me on Seesaw/Google Classroom or email me at [email protected]. I am ALWAYS happy to hear from you.
